Welcome to 14 Hands Ranch

Goat Milk Skincare • Finnsheep Wool • Homestead Curriculum • Flint Hills Living

We’re the Sharp family—homesteaders, homeschoolers, and makers of natural, handcrafted goods—raising livestock and kids on a small farm where the Flint Hills of Kansas begin.

At 14 Hands Ranch, we raise Finnsheep, Guernsey cattle, and Lamancha dairy goats on pasture, just the way nature intended. From these animals, we create goat milk soaps and lotions, next-to-skin soft Finnsheep yarn and roving, and occasionally, one-of-a-kind fiber art pieces. Everything we make is rooted in quality, simplicity, and sustainability.

Our Story

With five children (two grown and three still at home), we stay busy homeschooling, riding horses, baling hay, reading good books, and working hard on the land. Life here is full—sometimes messy, always meaningful. We believe in sharing that life through the goods we make and the stories we tell.

You’ll get to know us better on the Journal page, where we post updates about lambing season, soapmaking, 4-H projects, and homeschooling. Want to keep up? Subscribe to our newsletter so you never miss a post or product release.

What We Offer

  • Goat Milk Soaps & Lotions – Made with milk from our own Lamancha goats. Naturally nourishing, gentle on sensitive skin, and hand-poured in small batches.

  • Finnsheep Yarn & Roving – Grown on pasture, sheared with care, and processed into soft, spinnable wool perfect for knitters and fiber artists.

  • Homeschool Literature Guides – Created from our own homeschool journey, these guides help bring great books to life with hands-on, thoughtful activities rooted in faith and family.

  • Fiber Art & Handmade Goods – From time to time, we release original art pieces and small-batch gifts using wool from our own sheep.

  • Guernsey A2A2 Milk – Our Guernsey cows produce rich, high-butterfat A2A2 milk, available seasonally for local pick-up only. Ideal for many with dairy sensitivities.
